All ambulances carry supplies necessary for providing life-saving measures such as Advanced Life Support (ALS) & Basic Life Support (BLS), as mandated by the Pennsylvania Department of Health. ALS ambulances are also called Mobile Intensive Care Units (MICU). In the Spring of 2015, We purchased two new Type 1 AEV Ambulances. The new ambulances are identical. The chassis' are Ford F-450 Diesels. 6.7 L, with the new Torqueshift transmissions. Both are 4 wheel drive. Unit 1243 is a 2005 model Ford F-450 and is painted Fire Engine Red.  In its former day, this ambulance used to be a part of Dublin Regional EMS until 2007 when donated to us.
